Cell Churches

Cell Churches are not:
  • CELL churches
  • cell CHURCHES
In healthy Cell Church model there is a balance between Cell (small group meetings) and The Celebration (corporate gathering).

When we speak about a Cell Church we are talking about a relationship-based church. Everything in the church functions through and around cells and the relationships of the individuals in the group.

Traditional Churches
Traditional churches fall under the category of:
  1. Program-based church: programs are formed to need needs.
  2. Entertainment-based church: people come to get there weekend spiritual high.
  3. Content-based church: where the church is a "teaching Center" for people that attend.
In cell churches is the goal of the small groups is to develop of model for people:
  • to be connected to God
  • to be connected to one another
  • to raise up disciples in relational  manner.
It is not until we find ourselves doing these three functions that we can honestly say that we are fulfilling the Great Commandment and a Great Commission.
